Colour inspiration!

The pastel colours seems to be having quite the comeback for Spring 2014.

I love the colours, they are so pretty and sweet,
but I prefer the more brighter colours on my clothes, pastels just don't seem to suit me that well.

This pretty much sums up the whole of February in London.
It has been cold, raining, windy, good thing the Olympics were on to bring us some cheers.
Due to totally overdoing my snowboarding this season, my knees are so weak at the moment I can hardly walk. Frankly this scares me a bit because normally they only need a week to recover, this time it has taken me a month and they still seem to be aching and refusing to do stairs. I find this a huge challenge as normally (as you may know) I love walking and it is also my main training outlet here in London. This time around -not so much.
We do get the occasional 5 minutes of sun rays which is just wonderful,
 brightens up the whole world.
Can't wait for spring to rock on in!

I am a wanderer, mentally, physically and spiritually I wander.
Every day.
If there is an uncrowded pathway in front of me I would like to follow it, just to see where it leads. Come rain or shine.

Often you stumble upon great treasures.
It is not so much getting to the end of the road,
but the journey itself that lures me in.
I love it when I get to share my walks, be it walking up a mountain,
or walking on the beach
for a surf with my friends.
 I also love walking alone,
finding peace and solitude on the way.
Whenever I am "stuck" I wander off into nature to get "unstuck"
 Remembering the yesteryears
 embracing today,
and looking forward to the future.
Where do you go for your inspiration?

White and blue...

I simply love this colour combination.
There is something so calming yet fresh about it.

Wouldn't mind lounging in this sofa.

Or copying this look.

The Hands, they're back

I see the hands just about everywhere I look these days.
It used to be Buddha heads, angels, etc, etc. but this year the hands seems to be having a grande comeback.

I know for sure I've been lusting after door-handles like these for a very long time but have yet to found them, perhaps in this year of the hands they will be popular again and easier to get hold of?

An afternoon in Stratford-upon-Avon

It was great to get out of London City and to step into the wonderful countryside.
Stratford is such a charming village and I am afraid I have not done it any justice with my few photo's of the village itself,
the buildings are old and full of history.
As per usual I got drawn to the stunning, magnificent trees.
 Just imagine the history
and the scenes these trees have witnessed
in their lifetime.....

Holy Trinity Church Stratford-upon-Avon

So we spent the weekend in Stratford-upon-Avon visiting some friends.
Stratford itself is a really charming medieval town and it's biggest draw is that it is the birthplace of Shakespeare. We started off our tour in the Holy Trinity Church, where the present building dates back to 1210, but there has been a church on the site since at least 713.
The church is beautiful with ornaments, paintings and burial grounds...
one of them being William Shakespeare's grave, he was buried here in 1616. There are other prominent members of the high society way-back-then who are also buried here, I guess they buried the regular Joe Bloggs back in the woods  behind the church.
Pretty floor-tiles too

Happy Valentines Day

Back in London where the weather is cold, drab, grey, rainy...
Perfect weather for catching up on work, gazing out the window and dreaming up new colour schemes
 for our tropical island home,
Also been hard at work for my new bracelet collection, which has been a lot of fun. Hope you like!
Have a great Valentines Day!
Lots of love XOXO
